David Barron
David returns to Masquerade after appearing in Whistle Down the Wind and Sweeney Todd. Other credits include: Fruit Cocktail, Dirty Little Showtunes 1 & 2, Bed, Boys & Beyond (Theatre New West). At Resurrection MCC, David appeared in A Soldier Speaks, Follow the Star, Journey to the Promise, and Joy Comes in the Morning. Shows at Houston Grand Opera include Tannhauser, Of Mice and Men, & Abduction from the Seraglio. David is also a songwriter/producer and has performed in numerous fund raising projects. He recently received the Helping Hands award for his work in the community.
Stephanie Bradow
Stephanie holds a master's degree in vocal performance from The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and a BA in vocal performance from Texas Lutheran University. Her musicals at Masquerade include Whistle Down the Wind, Floyd Collins, Sweeney Todd, Parade, Annie, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Jekyll and Hyde, They're Playing our Song, and Songs for a New World. Other theater credits include Picnic, The Visit, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Camelot, Twelfth Night, and A Flea In Her Ear. She performed in Don Carlo at the Houston Grand Opera, and also sang in the following operas: The Consul, Julius Caesar, Amahl and the Night Visitors and Down in the Valley.
Luther Chakurian
Luther has an extensive career on the stage. he was recently seen at Masquerade in Lucky Stiff as Harry Witherspoon and Sweeney Todd in the title role. He was also seen in Songs for a New World as one of the players and in Parade as Frankie Epps and the young confederate soldier. Other performances on the Masquerade stage include They're Playing Our Song, Jekyll & Hyde (Jekyll/Hyde), and Kiss of the Spider Woman (Luis Molina). He has also been seen in shows at The Great Caruso, The Alley, Main Street Theater, Little Room Downstairs, AD Players, And Country Playhouse. Some of his favorite roles are George in Sunday In the Park With George, Phillip in Orphans, and Anatoly in Chess. Luther received his degree in organizational/interpersonal communications with a minor in music from Oral Roberts University. Post graduate studies include a year of acting at University of Houston.
Kaytha Coker
Kaytha rejoins Masquerade after spending a season performing in the choruses of The Wizard of Oz, My Fair Lady, and Kiss Me Kate at TUTS. Previous Masquerade performances include Sweeney Todd, Songs for a New World, Parade, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and Putting it Together. Kaytha has an extensive career in the Houston Theatre scene and has been seen at Main Street Theatre, The Great Caruso, Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston, and The Houston Shakespeare Festival. Favorite roles include Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Isabella in Northanger Abby, Lucy in Three Penny Opera, Rapunzel in Into the Woods, and Lucy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown! Kaytha graduated with a BM in vocal performance from Houston Baptist University, and studied theatre as a post– baccalaureate student at the University of Houston.
Rebekah Dahl
Rebekah's favorite role at Masquerade was Mrs. Lovett in last season's Sweeney Todd. Other Masquerade credits include Whistle Down the Wind, Songs for a New World and Parade playing the role of Frances Phagan. She was also seen as Grace Farrell in Annie, and heard in the chorus of They're Playing Our Song. A graduate of The American Musical Dramatic Academy in New York City, she has performed off-off-Broadway in The Envelope Please and Things That Go Bump in the Night, and sang at the Eighty-Eights Cabaret in Greenwich Village. Rebekah has performed in over 100 shows in her home town of Detroit, New York City and Houston. Local credits include You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! (Lucy); Godspell (Sonja); The Curious Savage (Fairie May); Crimes of the Heart (Babe); and The Diary of Anne Frank (Miep). Rebekah also has a successful career as a voice over, industrial film and commercial actor.
Russell Freeman
Russell was recently seen at Masquerade as The Vicar in Whistle Down the Wind and as H.T. Carmichael in Floyd Collins. His first Masquerade appearance was in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, produced at The Great Caruso where he played the role of Hysterium, and on occasion Pseudolus. Other Masquerade credits include President Roosevelt in Annie, Warden in Kiss of the Spider Woman, and Simon Stride in Jekyll & Hyde. Russell appeared as Mr. Van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank, and Lord Capulet in Romeo & Juliet at Main Street Theater. Among his favorites are Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, and Roger Hopewell in Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. Russell is also a talented set designer and has designed and built many of Masquerade's sets. He has associates degrees in criminal justice, criminal law, and computer science, and holds a bachelors degree in theatre arts.
Ilich Guardiola
Ilich has a BA in Theater from the University of Houston School of Theater with an emphasis on acting and directing. He studied Shakespeare with Sidney Berger and Sir Peter Hall, acting with Jose Quintero and Carolyn Houston Boone, playwriting with Edward Albee, and musical theatre with Stuart Ostrow. He was most recently seen in Whistle Down the Wind as the Man and in Floyd Collins as Homer. Other Masquerade credits include Sweeney Todd, Songs for a New World, Kiss of the Spider Woman (Valentin), Putting it Together and Parade (Leo Frank). He has also been seen at Stages in Company (Bobby), and the University of Houston productions of Into the Woods (Baker) and Three Penny Opera (Macheath). Other venues include Main Street Theater, TUTS in Zorro, HSF, MST, GIOM, Alley, Country Playhouse, CTF. and MSYT. Favorite roles include Macduff, Dr. Neville (in Main Street Theatre's The Secret Garden where he met his lovely wife Kaytha Coker) Cinderella's Prince, Macbeth, Benedick, and Hamlet.
Richard Hunt
Richard holds several Masquerade credits, including Jewell Estes in Floyd Collins, Sweeney Todd and Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods (MYT). Richard has worked extensively in the Houston theatre market. Recent credits include The Sound of Music, The Secret Garden, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, As You Like It (Baytown Little Theatre); Theatre Under the Stars: Oliver, Joseph and the Amazing..., Camelot and Scrooge. Richard is currently a sophomore at St. Thomas High School and a member of the junior company of The Masquerade Theatre
Kory Kilgore
Kory was last seen as Skeets Miller in Masquerade’s production of Floyd Collins. Past credits include the title role in Macbeth, Dickon in The Secret Garden, Buckingham in Richard III, Roma in Glengarry Glen Ross, Yvan in Art, Ensemble in Side by Side, and Andrei in The Three Sisters (Abilene Christian University); The Squire in The Firebird, The Captain in The Toys Take Over Christmas (Early Stages); Kory has a BFA from Abilene Christian University.
